It is the hope of many that no matter what you do for a living, you’ll always find value and satisfaction in it. What have you learned from your current job? Have you found purpose in your work? Do you feel appreciated? Are you making a difference in the world?
At EMS, opportunities abound for our employees to learn new skills, face new challenges, and find personal growth. Our goal is to foster an environment for happy employees who feel appreciated and knowledgeable; capable to take on whatever comes their way. No one is perfect, of course, but we do our best to arm our employees with the skills they need to deliver exceptional customer service. We want our employees to have the tools they need to tackle the ever-evolving challenges that come along with working in the customer service world.
With an emphasis on training and skill-building, it’s no surprise that we continue to have wonderful customer service agents that impress us regularly (you know who you are!). We appreciate our customer service agents, and we want them to love their jobs. That’s why we do our best to show them our gratitude whenever we can.
If you’re thinking about a career in customer service and you’re wondering if EMS could be a good fit for you, consider these 5 reasons to love working at EMS.
5 Reasons to Love Working at EMS
1. Free Breakfast Fridays
The best things in life are free, right? Every Friday, we treat our employees to a free continental breakfast as a way to thank them for the hard work they put in. Coffee and donuts are always appropriate and welcomed thank you gifts, right? We also host an occasional cookout from time to time, just in case breakfast isn’t your thing.
2. Contests and Giveaways
Once again, who doesn’t love free stuff? We like to throw an occasional contest or giveaway as a way to let our employees know we see their dedication to their jobs and that we are dedicated to serving and supporting them as well. One of our favorite giveaways was a two-night stay at a Central Park hotel!
Customer service isn’t always the easiest field to work in, but we do our best to make it rewarding. One of the ways we do that is by offering incentives. We want our agents to keep growing and learning, and we’ve found the best way to do that is to reward them for meeting goals or overcoming new challenges.
4. A fun, relaxed environment
We know that in a contact center, professionalism extends further than a dress code. Our agents conduct themselves in a professional manner and deliver professional results to our clients, and we want them to be at ease while they do so. That’s why our employees are permitted to dress in clothes that allow them to do their job comfortably.
5. Opportunities to build your skills
We are a mid-sized call center and we believe that comes with some big perks, not the least of which is that we know the value of good employees. We don’t have a limitless resource of customer service agents- that means we have to train and utilize the staff we have. For our employees, this means the opportunity to work with a variety of different clients, serving an array of different needs. If variety and new challenges are what you’re looking for, EMS has it.
